This is how business can fire you in a legal way on Christmas.

As Christmas party season soon comes, workers in Bristol are looking to lay back and relax.

But as Anyone wants to relax, party and have some cozy Christmas holiday, some workplaces prefer seeing you work extra hours.

If a worker behaves poorly in a Christmas party, even if it is outside of the office, he could face serious disciplinary actions, which could lead to his unemployment.

The recent Court of Appeal ruling that a firm was ‘vicariously liable’ after its managing director punched a person and caused them brain damage at a Christmas party should send loud warning bells to employers, especially in the run-up to the festive party season.” Emma Hamnett, partner and employment lawyer at Bristol law firm Clarke Willmott, said.

Being over intoxicated, having aggressions, hostility or harassment outside of work could lead to disciplinary action. Those actions can be bad news, even if you already lost your job and you are looking for a new one.

You should know when you should go home.

If you want to keep partying,  staying last and having one more drink, just order your self a taxi, drink some water, and remember that if anything happens there will be consequences.
