Will Bitcoin Crush

Government Cryptocurrency Bans will only increase people’s desire for it, says Binance CEO

Will Banning Cryptocurrency Is the Answer?

Persons in the showbiz will often say, “Any publicity is good publicity.” That’s the same message that the CEO of top cryptocurrency exchange Binance is echoing following President Trump’s constant negative tweets against the industry.

Speaking in an interview earlier this week, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) that despite Trump’s constant criticism of Bitcoins and cryptocurrencies at large, he has not really had any negative effect on the industry, rather he is giving the industry free publicity.

Trump so far has not done anything positive or negative, he’s just said he’s not a fan. The fact that he tweeted about it, and the president of the United States is talking about cryptocurrency, it’s a good thing.”

Even if Trump goes as far as to ban cryptocurrency ownership and usage in the US, the industry will still grow according to CZ

Cryptocurrency will survive regardless of any one country. Most countries that try to ban bitcoin cause their citizens to want cryptocurrency more.”

Trump Tweets are a blessing for the industry

Another industry head has been quick to share the same opinion as CZ this week. Brian Armstrong, the CEO of Coinbase, has said Trump’s tweets could only be good news for the industry.

For those who don’t recall, Trump has repeatedly aired his distaste for the crypto-industry. In one of his several negative tweets, he has said that “he was not a fan of Unregulated Crypto Assets.” He cited that cryptocurrency could help promote drug trade and other promiscuous endeavors.
